Smailholm Tower, Not far
outside the Border town of Kelso, was once the home of the Pringle family until
about 1645 when it became the home of the Scotts of Harden, Like most
Border keeps and towers it was regularly attacked by the English.
Smailholm Tower passed into the care of the State in 1980 and in now cared for
by Historic Scotland. More details of this picturesque tower can be found

1st April - 30 September: Daily: 0930 until 1830; 1 October- 31 March: Saturday 0930 until 1630 & Sunday 1400 until 1630
